The Souls – Justa Little Working Band from Texas 1965-1967. Recorded a 45 in 1966 called “Diamonds, Rats and Gum”. A single copy of the 45 sold on ebay in 2008 for $1225. Its been called “the rarest of the rare from the garage band era.” Sometimes music takes on a life of its own. In recent months, numerous interviews have been given to journalist in Switzerland, British Columbia, England and across the U.S. Several websites dedicated to preserving the music of “garage bands” from the mid 60’s have articles about the band. You can even buy the song as ringtones in Europe. Whodda Thunk? Save Weebles

Update as of 8:30pm, Sept 30th:

Just got word that Weebles (now known as Penny) was just picked up and is sleeping comfortably on the floor of the car on her way home. Whodda thunk it?

Update as of 2:30pm, Sept 30th:

Yippee!! Thanks to everyone for their concern! Someone has graciously decided to adopt Weebles and will be picking her up tonight at 6:30pm. I’ll let you know how it goes!

Weebles is a four month old kitten currently living on a farm in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. She likely has a condition called cerebellar ataxia (also known as Wobbly Kitty). This is unconfirmed as she has never visited a vet. Weebles is a barn cat, and needs to work hard to survive. She has made it through the summer, but will not survive the winter due to her problems getting around and finding food for herself.

The decision has been made to put Weebles down on Saturday October 2, 2009.

However, there is a chance she can survive.

She has managed to keep herself fed through the summer, and the farmer has also helped her along by giving her food and water. The farmer loves animals and doesn’t want to put Weebles down, which is why it hasn’t been done yet. But she has no chance of surviving the winter so unless a new home is found she will be put down.

Weebles’ time is running out, but maybe you are just the person she’s looking for!

Panama, Colon, Isla Grande, Bananas Resort

Captured around lunchtime while staying in Bananas Resort, located on Isla Grande in Colon. Isla Grande is a popular caribbean vacation/second home area for upper middle class panamanians. The Bananas Resort is located on the open ocean side of Isla Grande, a short boat ride from main land in La Guira, a sleepy fishing village. Bananas has its own parking area on the mainland and shuttles guests back and forth over the relatively calm waters via small 15hp wooden boats. Bananas resort is arguably the best hotel within a 2 hours distance this side of Panama, second only to Coral Lodge further along the coast towards San Blas. If traveling on a budget, be sure to inquire about the European Plan, otherwise the American Plan will do. A little known fact is that Bananas Resort is built and operates on possessory rights property, and not titled property as some might think. A revelation to some who wish to own and operate a beachfront business while paying no property taxes…whodda thunk it.

Jason & Sam: Always

Should probably read after watching.

It’s the whole Jason and Sam back and forth thing. I want you…I don’t want you. Yeah yeah. Anyway. Jason grows a pair and realizes Sam can handle the danger. Goes to find her, but finds Sam has moved on with Jerry. him off…he throws a lamp. Why did I use Jerry? Not because I like him paired with Sam because that actually grosses me out a little. Mostly because Lucky and Elizabeth are boring me. So I mixed it up and threw Jerry in there.
