September 18th, 2009 | by admin |i have an 02 lexus es 300……..got new brake pads recently…….when im driving at slow speeds and i hit the brake pedals slowly i hear a thunk thunk sound in the back side of my car…but this doesnt happen when i hit the brake pedal hard and fast…anyone know what the issue is?
I’d hate to speculate on your problem because brakes are vital to you and others. I suggest you take your car back immediately to the shop who worked on your brakes and have them double checked. that’s the first thing you have to do.

I’m not a mechanic but I had something very similar on a 95 Mercury Mysitque. Turned out to be a broken coil spring on one of the rear wheels.
