*is crying right …
*is crying right now* I have been looking for this song. I’m so glad someone had posted it now. My father, use to sing this song, almost every single chance he got. He just died June 30th, and just hearing it really helps. We have it on quadraphonic, but we don’t know where the player is, and if it even works anymore. So, thanks for posting Jefferson Airplane songs. I really appreciate it.

Grace is defenitley …
Grace is defenitley on there, she’s doing the oooooh part and ghosts a few of the vocals on the verses.
Never thought of that before, this is very similar to the Beach Boys’ Smiley Smile album.

i don’t know… i …
i don’t know… i don’t think grace or anybody else is on this track (including the piano intro) whenever you read about the joey period of the airplane, there’s never much said about his singing. he had a very nice voice in fact, but you wonder if he thought he was gonna be the next marty, while the others were just looking for someone to replace spencer. maybe that’s why he didn’t last long with them.

I can hear Grace in …
I can hear Grace in there, but Covington’s vocals do totally dominate. He left the Airplane to join Hot Tuna but got bounced by Jorma after a few albums over a musical argument. Last I heard he still plays shows around the Bay Area with bands of ever changing names and lineups, but the encore is always “Thunk” and “Pretty As You Feel.”

It’s interesting, …
It’s interesting, because it has a “Beach Boys”ish feel to it. And for the most part, it’s just overdubbed vocals (of just Joey Covington, by the way). Thanks for posting this!

A very interesting …
I think Marty Balin was the greatest song of the band but in this song everyone can hear that their vocals are as good as Marty’s. Thunk, thunk, thunk..
A very interesting JA song, in my opinion, the most interesting one.
